Theatre - Comedy - Storytelling

Origin: NSW SA Premiere

Logie winning actor, writer, and exceptional storyteller, Rob Carlton, tells four true stories:  sexual taboos, big big lies, deep heartaches and blind hope. Directed by theatre and comedy legend Darren Gilshenan, Rob’s four stories deliver every emotion.

"JUST SUPERB!" Michala Banas

"COMPLETELY RIVETING - A MASTERCLASS!" Samuel Johnson

"HIS STORIES SHOOT YOU THROUGH AN EMOTIONAL PINBALL MACHINE." Josh Lawson

"I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING QUITE LIKE IT. THE LAUGH STUFF COMES THICK AND FAST. BUT IT WAS THE HEART STUFF I TOOK HOME WITH ME." Trent Dalton

In this hilarious and heartfelt expression of joy, audiences will leave in love with the world. They’ll have laughed and cried and laughed again and, for an hour at least, they’ll know they’re not alone.

Meet the Team

  • Rob Carlton

    PLAYWRIGHT & PERFORMER

Rob occupies a unique space in the acting world here in Australia. He’s equally well-regarded playing drama and comedy. He’s won major awards in both forms. This ability to cross genres plays out in the rest of his professional life as well.

He loves live performance. Rob tours his one-man story telling shows, a sweet blend of comedy and heart, around the country and the world.

He loves the collaboration of tv, film, and theatre, whether it be as an actor, writer, director, or producer.

He loves working with his corporate clients. It keeps his mind sharp. It gives him unique insights into the how industries fit together, how politics and business combine, how corporate culture affects everything, and how milk ends up in supermarkets every day without going off!

The attributes that drive Rob’s continuing success in these three worlds are curiosity, optimism, and resilience.

Rob is also the Silver Logie Winner for most outstanding performance by an actor in a leading role. Paper Giants — Birth of Cleo
