We are seeking support to present three incredible theatre productions for our 2024 season and we need your help. From Shakespeare to Coward to White it will be a year unlike any other. Please support us to present our world class productions.

We are raising funds to support the costs for the productions in our 2024 Season HAMLET IN 15 MINUTES adapted by Peter Goers with a cast of 10 presented in the Adelaide Fringe 14th Feb – 17th March 2024, COWARD, COWARDY CUSTARD which includes Noel Coward’s ‘Red Peppers’ and ‘Hands Across the Sea’ with a cast of 8 – presented 14th May - 1st June and A CHEERY SOUL by Patrick White with a cast of 14 – presented 24th Sept – 12th October. IN 2023 we produced two highly critically acclaimed works with small casts and minuscule budgets. Now we need help to create more opportunities and build the company to the next level. Our fundraising goal is a total for the three shows. You can donate a small amounts across the year, or around the time of each show, or donate a lump-sum that'll be split evenly across the shows The lump-sum enables us to plan further out, secure performance rights earlier and get up on sale sooner and save.

The vision for Holden Street was always to create opportunities for artists and audience to experience professional level work from a second tier in-house company. 2023 started this and 2024 is now launching us into the future and realising this 20 year dream. We donate our personal time and funds to the shows and we work on the smell of an oily rag but we need to keep that rag oily. We need keep venues open and second-tier theatre alive in SA, and to create opportunities for artists to work on the stage. It is hard to get seen in Adelaide as an actor and to transition from amateur to professional and our work is offering opportunities to be seen in the professional arena in small scale low cost productions. Donations will ensure the company can keep producing the work and in the long run generate funds that will support the shows.

Donations will support Artists, Sets, Costumes, Props, Marketing & Promotion and Production. Even the smallest amount helps. We source lots of our props & costumes from charity shops & these can be as low as a few dollars & we donate them back so donations works overtime, or you can specify areas you'd like to support. We’d love for the shows to be completely self-sufficient & the only way to do this is to get the shows up, generate more audience & apply for more funding opportunities. Over 30 artists & 21 Creatives/Crew will be given the opportunity to work on incredible shows & create amazing work with artists at all levels of their careers, audiences will be able to see incredible contemporary & classical plays at affordable prices & Holden Street will have stay open & be a producing house not just a venue for hire with a bleak future. Your donation will make this happen. You can read more about what we do and who we are at
