Our season will kick off in May, with the South Australian premiere of Beth Steel’s, 2024 Olivier-nominated smash hit ‘Till the Stars Come Down’

Picture a family wedding set against the post-industrial backdrop of an English East Midlands town—a place where history clings to the streets and everyone remembers more about your life than you might wish. A day meant for joy and celebration… until the cracks begin to show.

Beth Steel’s ‘Till the Stars Come Down’ throws us straight into that world: sisters clashing, family meddling, emotions simmering beneath the bunting. And as the wedding spirals forward, the laughter collides with something deeper—something with the emotional complexity of a Greek tragedy woven into an ordinary family day.

What begins as a warm, chaotic Midlands gathering becomes a fierce, tender battle with the past, as this family confronts who they were, who they are, and who they may yet dare to be.

In ‘Till the Stars Come Down’, you’re not just invited to the wedding—you’re seated at the family table, handed a drink, and drawn into the moment everything changes.
