Sunday Versed Brings Poetry, Conversation and Community to Holden Street Theatres

Holden Street Theatres invites audiences to slow down, listen deeply and reconnect through the power of words with the launch of Sunday Versed, a monthly poetry gathering celebrating creativity, connection and storytelling.

Held in the intimate surroundings of the Holden Street Theatres Bar Lounge, Sunday Versed transforms Sunday afternoons into a welcoming space for poets, writers, performers and curious listeners alike. Running from 2.00 pm to 4:00 pm each Sunday, the event offers an inspiring blend of poetry readings, shared experiences and meaningful conversation.

Whether you're a seasoned poet, an emerging voice or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of language, Sunday Versed provides a platform where stories can be spoken, heard and celebrated.

Designed as a relaxed and inclusive gathering, audiences can expect an afternoon rich with expression, reflection, humour and humanity. From contemporary poetry and spoken word to heartfelt personal narratives, each event promises a unique tapestry of voices and perspectives.

There will be music to set the Sunday vibe too, led by a range our guest Adelaide leading DJ’s. Full bar service during the afternoon, complemented by grazing selections, is also available to ensure the experience is pleasurable and memorable as you lap up the readings.
