INSULA has been cancelled. All ticket holders will be contacted. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope you see you at the theatre soon.

The pandemic is afoot and two student game developers are still learning to deal with their newly restricted lives when they are paired to work together for their final assignment of the year. When Monique, a driven and neurotic-at-the-best-of-times perfectionist meets Bailey, a relaxed optimist with a real problem with authority, their personal and creative boundaries begin to get pushed. Confronted with a quickly looming deadline, a rather misfit partnership and an unshakable feeling of dread, the women are forced to fight the effects of isolation more than ever as they work to pass the subject. In this newly devised theatre piece, performers Brittany Gallasch and Jasmine Warland showcase the resilience of the human spirit and explore where our minds took us when we all stayed inside.

Tickets available through the Holden Street Theatres Box Office and adelaidefringe.com.au

Due to the current climate strict Covid restrictions will be in place, please follow all rules on density, social distancing and follow directions from staff.

This is a Masked Event, please help reduce waste by bringing your own mask.

Cast & Crew

Brittany Gallasch

#

During her teenage years Brittany was fascinated by all aspects of drama and artistic expression (visual arts, writing, directing, set-design and acting) and studied drama from years 7-12, winning the Drama Academic Award in both year 11 and 12 at Immanuel College.

Brittany graduated from the Flinders University Drama Centre in 2021, has been involved in short films, music videos, commercials, the 48-hour film festival, and the third season of ABC’s drama Wanted. With her foremost goal to not only be an ‘actor’ but a ‘maker’, Brittany has collaborated with other emerging artists to tell compelling stories for both screen and theatre. Brittany is currently creating a comedic web series that she hopes will help her deep dive into the Australian TV/Film industry.

Jasmine Warland

#

As a child Jasmine Warland wanted to be just about everything: ballerina, astronaut, carpenter, pianist, painter, sculptor, historian, author, swimmer, lawyer and an overall worldly and wise human. She quickly realised that a person probably can’t be all of these things in a single lifetime, but they can act… and here we are. Jasmine Graduated from the Flinders Drama Centre in 2021 and plans to continue developing her skills in theatre and film as an actor and theatre-maker and in particular is excited to create and engage with new and existing work.
