Impounded at the local refuge, these animals share their tales about how they came to be there. All of them look forward to being rescued, either by their owner or by a new family. Funny and moving the play will open your eyes to what may be going through a dog’s mind.

Following a successful 2015 run, Director Tony Moore has decided to bring the play back as he feels it still has a lot to say to audiences. “It’s a bit shorter and tighter and we feel that we have brought some of its messages into sharper focus. The cast is largely the same and everyone is enjoying the process of bringing it back.”

Moore Books SA and Holden Street Theatres are working with SA Dog Rescue to help raise money for their adoption program.

“Each member of the cast does a wonderful job… all the cast have magnificently striking moments. This is only the second time "Mutts" has ever been performed and hopefully not the last. Those on the lookout for vibrant new theatrical works should definitely check it out.” Benjamin Orchard, Stage Whispers

“This is fantastic show for older children or teens, or anyone who loves dogs. It is an enormously enjoyable piece of theatre, worth seeing for the performances alone.” Tracey Korsten, Glam Adelaide

" If you are a dog lover you will love this play for that reason. If you are a dog owner it will remind you of your responsibility to the dog you have chosen to bring into your home. If you are a lover of good theatre you will enjoy it for its originality, the quality of the play, the direction and the performances" Janie Bailey, Adelaide Theatre Guide
