Fleeto and Wee Andy

WINNER HOLDEN STREET THEATRES' EDINBURGH AWARD 2011

FLEETO by Paddy Cunneen

Presented by

Holden Street Theatres and Tumult in The Clouds

THEATRE (UK)

When his friend is stabbed, a young lad falls in with a gang. The terrible revenge he takes brings disaster on himself and the victim’s family. Inspired by ‘The Iliad’ and Glasgow’s ‘knife culture’, Fleeto is a hard-hitting, contemporary Scottish re-invention of the classic Greek tragic form. Performed in a stunningly rich, flexible iambic pentameter. Compelling, thought provoking and deeply moving.

Written and spoken in shakespeare style iambic pentameter
