MARKETING

What we offer

Shows performed in our Fringe Program receive extensive press coverage and we have a strong marketing campaign which covers print, radio and street marketing strategies. We present a Secret Launch to our VIP's, Sponsors and the Media of our Program in advance of the Guide being available and we hold a "Media Day" at Holden Street where the media guests are presented with a "Media Book" containing releases of all the shows in our program as well as the company's contact details.

Our Media Department will handle all enquiries and pass any messages to you. We will supply the media with the material you have given us and encourage them to use the Fringe media facilities. We can also manage your press tickets if you wish.

We print a Venue Guide which covers all three venues and has a distribution of 30,000. Our Guide goes to the FringeTIX and Venue*Tix outlets, cafes, restaurants, retail areas and tourism brochure stands throughout Adelaide and other Fringe venues. It is mailed out to our venue mailing list and emailed out as a pdf to the email lists and on the newsletters.

Our Street Team, are out and about and also at the venues in main foot traffic areas such as Rundle Mall, University O-weeks, Gouger Street, Melbourne Street, Glenelg and other theatre’s audience line-ups. A full list of the areas we cover can be provided on request. The Street Team can hand out flyers for individual shows and ticket offers on behalf of your show.

We purchase advertisements in Print Media such as The Advertiser, Db Magazine, Rip it Up, The Fix, the Messenger Newspaper, The Adelaide Review and a full page ad in the official Fringe Guide. These ads are used to promote the Guide, the venues and to list the shows in a gig-guide format (examples can be provided on request)

We have received great Television coverage in the past and work hard to achieve exposure in all areas.

Radio – We target local and national stations and purchase ad space on Stations that target Fringe Audiences.

Mail and Email - We send E-newsletters to a number of E-Newsletter groups, we maintain a comprehensive media list, have a Groups & Corporates list for the top 1000 companies in South Australia which we manage very carefully and successfully. Existing sponsor Venue*Tix send out our weekly newsletter to their E-List of 100,000 as well as our Holden Street Theatres E-List of 2500 (both are growing daily). Through our association with Adelaide City Council we send information and ticket offers to varying Government Departments and have a 3000 strong Mailing list (subscriber base style followers) to whom we send the Guide, ticket offers and letters of invitation.

Posters/flyers - Holden Street has association to over 120 private poster windows throughout the city and shopping districts. This is coordinated through our head office and managed by our Street Team. We can coordinate distribution of your posters and flyers with local distribution companies and Tourism offices as well as placement on and in the venues. The Poster sites at the venues are; the Pillars on King William Street at the front of Town Hall, Poster boards at Holden Street and the street frontage in Thebarton Theatre windows as well as inside the venues.

Your flyers can be handed out by volunteer street teams daily in areas of high foot traffic and cafes and restaurants. Flyer placement at the venues and at FringeTIX and Venue*Tix outlets, cafes, restaurants and retail areas, tourism brochure stands throughout Adelaide and other venues

Website - We offer a listing on the front page of the Holden Street Theatres website during Fringe with a link back to a page dedicated to your Show.

Social Media - Holden Street Theatres are members of Facebook and your Show can be represented on our Group Page and Twitter updates can be posted weekly about your show in the lead up to Fringe and daily during Fringe.

Additional Marketing can be purchased such as - Advertisements in our guide and advertising on the scrolling banner on the front page.

We will ask for a marketing Form to be filled out and send specs for images etc. once your performance has been confirmed. The more you give us the better we can work for you

The market is fierce during this time of the year and so we employ the services of a Publicist and we provide the information you give us to the Publicist however, the work we do promotes the program on a whole and you get the spin off from that. Where possible we will get special attention for your show so the more you give us the better.

What we provide goes a long way to attracting audience however we suggest you also promote and advertise your work.
