Melbourne based theatre company Shiny Side are bringing their subtle, hilarious, heartbreaking production to Adelaide Fringe for the first time.

Goat Town is a small, exaggerated slice of real life – delicate and awkward, like a really funny joke whispered loudly at a funeral.

Creators and company founders, Alexandra Burgess, Loren de Jong and Anne Ireton, use their theatre to capture the natural rhythms of a distinctly Australian voice.

“We hold a tiny mirror up to the world around us and hope that audiences will recognise their own words, their own conversations, in our work. There is a certain thrill in that.”

In Goat Town they have created a play which both celebrates and brutalises life’s smallest moments against a backdrop of its largest one’s.
