THE SUNDAY MAIL- Matt Byrne.

THIS is a special piece of theatrical magic that Adelaide audiences will adore. Creator/performer Tim Watts opens up a world where love is the strongest power, with a story that anyone with a heart can dive into.

Alvin Sputnik is an everyman trying to survive in a world where global warming threatens to engulf life as we know it. Watts uses several laptops, a moon-faced screen and an amazing imagination to take the audience into an underwater world of wonder.

Using a brilliant blend of multimedia images and video, live ukulele and simply-constructed songs, Watts tells a story that will break global hearts.

When Alvin loses his loving wife he sets out to save the planet by launching a brave new world from the sea floor to the surface. His perilous journey to reunite with his wife's soul is an enchanting ride full of surprise twists and effective special effects.

The poignant music and deep-blue emotion add to the journey, without ever becoming saccharine sweet. The inspired puppetry and meaningful message for humanity are perfectly presented for children and adults.

THE ADVERTISER - Samela Harris.

This show is set to be a Gen YouTube cult piece on the Fringe.

It is an expert piece of low-budget cross-media performance , poor little Alvin morphing from animated drawing to very clever hand puppet as he descends the stygian ocean depths to save humanity and find the soul of his dead wife in a post-apocalyptic world.

Creator Tim Watts accompanies Alvin's journey with live and recorded music. He is not a great singer, but he touches the heart. The projected drawings on their round white screen against the black drops are quirky and Watts' visual gags raise ready laughs as does some of his occasional commentary. "Menopausal mother nature", indeed.
