The Blue Room and Luke Milton / Gray Ruby Productions present Nobody cares but you

A dead actress struggles to resurrect her career. A precocious girl scout searches the seedy underbelly to find her mysteriously absent father. A sweet young woman murders for attention.

Nobody Cares But You is a dark and comical showcase of three individual monologues about three very different women and their fight to be appreciated.

After a successful season at The Blue Room Theatre in Perth last October, Nobody Cares But You has been picked up by 504 Producers and is headed for a national tour to both the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne's Chapel Off Chapel. This new collaboration between award winners Luke Milton and Arielle Gray, has culminated in three funny, poignant and sometimes ridiculous monologues that will challenge and surprise you.

2010 ADELAIDE FRINGE REVIEWS

***** 5 STARS

GLAM ADELAIDE- Barry Lenny.

Arielle Gray performs in three short absurdist plays that were written and directed by Luke Milton and feature original music by Steve Hearne; The Rise and Return of Verity Westlake, Lennie Lenape and the Secret Mystery of the Mysterious Secret Agent and The Invisible Bloodbath.

In the first play a Hollywood actress attempts to rebuild her career in a unique and most bizarre way following a terminal car accident. In the second play a ten year old girl scout goes in search of her missing father, who might just be a spy, and the final play introduces us to a young woman who just seeks attention, but does it in an extreme fashion. To say more about these three black comedies would spoil the surprises in store for later audiences.

Gray, with the odd voice over from Roderick Cairns, Steve Hearne and Tim Watts (The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik, Deep Sea Explorer), one in each of the pieces, creates three completely different and very believable characters. Her performances in all three roles are exceptional and this should be one of your picks this Fringe.
