Back with a vengence, these silly old buggers are at it again... After a sell-out 06 season they romp through the night with music, political satire and that wry look at life that only advanced years can provide.

The Adelaide University Footlights Club has a long an honourable tradition, starting in the 1920s, being revived after World War II and then, famously, again in 1957, by the renowned duo of (Brian) Bergin and (Geoff) Ward. They were big shows, with glamorous chorus lines and full pit orchestras.

In the 2006 Fringe a bunch of Old Footlighters, assembled to revive the glorious tradition and tread the boards again, at Holden Street. The old buggers were mostly from the late fifties and early sixties, but included octaganarian Jeff Scott, whose first Footlights production was "The Seat Of Your Pants" in 1948.

The show was highly successful - a sell-out in fact - and so delighted were they that they decided to do it again this year. Mr. Scott, the oldest bugger of all, will be appearing again and has written a brace of highly risque monologues which he will perform and there's nothing anyone can do to stop him.

There will also be a totally new script, much of it provided this year by renowned writer Trevor Farrant.

We predict that The Old Footlighters will sell out again.
